The Physiology of Health Equity
September 26 @ 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Following up on our shared commitment to explore and learn more deeply about the health inequities in our community, ARCHI is pleased to launch the next part of the daylong work sessions in the healthy equity series, The Physiology of Health Inequity on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at The Carter Center (Cyprus Room – 453 Freedom Pkwy NE, Atlanta, GA 30307).
Join us as we build a shared understanding of the physical health impacts of racism, chronic stress and averse childhood events. We will do this by exploring a few key, timely topics in the Atlanta region and beyond, hearing about promising practices and programs that are disrupting these dynamics and building new community based health models. We will be joined by the highly esteemed Dr. Camara Jones for our opening keynote address and hear from a variety of experts and thought leaders throughout the day. We will also have time to consider and make meaning for ourselves, for our work and our communities.
Please register by Friday, September 14, 2018 by clicking here. Feel free to share this opportunity with others. If you have any questions, please send us a message email@example.com. We look forward to seeing you at the event!
