The session will bring together partners, leaders, and community members to explore solutions addressing mental health, trauma, and stress affecting children and families.

DeKalb County Opens South DeKalb Day Center at New Life
When: Monday–Saturday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM (Closed Sundays and county holidays)

Event Details: DeKalb County has launched a new day center in South DeKalb to serve as a centralized access point for housing, employment, and health-related services for residents experiencing homelessness.
​
The South DeKalb Day Center at New Life is now open and offers meals, shower access, hygiene kits, case management, housing resources, workforce and employment support, benefits assistance, and more. This model brings multiple providers together in one location to streamline access and coordination of services. ​​

Partners are encouraged to share this resource with clients who may benefit from coordinated, wraparound services. ​

Georgia Budget Primer Town Hall

Event Details: Join the Georgia Budget and Policy Institute (GBPI) for a virtual town hall on the first day of Georgia’s 2027 fiscal year. This session will highlight GBPI’s annual budget primer, which outlines the state budget, key changes from the prior year, and major funding priorities. The discussion will also examine budget trends across the eight years of Governor Kemp’s tenure and what they may signal for Georgia’s next administration.
